First class and we started with an activity – analog and digital. The f2f version asked for everyone to introduce himself or herself. The focus on that activity is on you. Then we tried using a Google Form to submit some terms about you, technology and how technology might be used. We used Wordle (www.wordle.net) to analyze the responses. We also filled out a few surveys and discussed how technology can play a role and looked at the individual tendencies of the class.
We took a look at a few of the accounts that will be needed for this course. We created a wikispaces account and then joined our class wiki (http://tu-istc301-sp11.wikispaces.com/). You should also create a Diigo account. Finally, you should have created a blog at blogger.com. We will be writing a blog entry each week.
HW: For this week you should complete the following assignments:
1. Write a technobiography and post to your blog. When finished, enter your blog URL in blackboard.
2. Post a tech talk contribution into the discussion board in blackboard.
3. Create accounts for diigo, wikispaces, blogger and google docs.
4. Read preface and chapter 1 of Teaching Every Student.
